"One of the most original singer-songwriters I have heard recently... I'll be doing what we should all do when we hear or see great art... I'll be shouting her praise from the rooftops"
- The Night Sky Is A Jewellery Store Window

FAA 'Young Artist of the Year' 2018

Soulful and honest, award-winning bilingual singer-songwriter STAV. continues her small-town story of migration with persuasive melodies and bursts of rhythmic fire. With an introspective and playful personality, she has a compelling ability to tell a story in song in English and Hebrew.

She was born in Israel, grew up in a small town in Australia and is mostly based in Melbourne city. Blurring the lines between singing and spoken word, STAV. performs solo and with her jazz-folk-soul band whose current members are Isaac Gunnoo on double bass and harmonies and Maddison Carter on drums.

Since releasing her debut album 'The Horizon Line', she has performed at the major folk festivals across Australia including Woodford, Port Fairy, Cygnet, Blue Mountains, The National, The Tablelands as well as in Spain, Portugal, France and Canada with official showcase performances at FAI Montreal.

Her latest song, 'Walk A Little Further' was featured on Triple J 'Roots N All' and was released with a fun community dance video, home-made in isolation with some of the people she has met on tour around the world. Live performance brings this songwriter's introspection, playfulness and raw passion to life.

"Great feels, dreamy undertow makes you want to step out into the warm evening air for a star-light stroll"
